At Valley CrossWay, worship and service go together, with many involved in worship planning, preparing the worship space, reading Scripture, speaking, music, audio-visual, ushering. Others serve in administration, communication, food and refreshment, material aid, mission, and other ministries. Our website doesn’t have a “Ministry Team” page, because the congregation is the ministry team!
On Sunday mornings, we pray for personal, church, community, and world concerns as part of our congregational worship. During the week, our prayer coordinator sends any additional prayer requests to the church email list, so we may continue in a spirit of prayer together.
This past year, we distributed close to 100 prayer shawls, each one knit with prayer, love, and caring. The prayer shawls have been given to those experiencing a time of loss; to mark special celebrations of new life and milestone birthdays or retirement; and to care for those experiencing health challenges.
